Jeepers, I need more guidance on this white issue please. I don't wear white shoes (thank god) but what about my white skirt? and what about white pants? and what about wearing them at the same time with a white shirt? that may be too much, right?
alright I have sneakers.
Speaking of "blending in" (camouflage), what would be the perfect outfit for a freshman high school girl who wants to blend in to the crowd and NOT stand out as a nerd or a loser? This whole clothing thing causes...like...TOTAL anxiety. Wearing the wrong thing those first days of school can spell your social doom.

Dear Jeepers,
Fearful Freshman is still waiting for much-needed fashion help!

Dear Fearful Freshman,
Wearing "the wrong things those first days of school" CANNOT spell your social doom. There are only two things that really determine popularity: confidence and kindness. Funny is another, but it can be filed under confidence, really, so I stick by my original answer.
The girls who are the most at ease, or who SEEM THE MOST AT EASE are magically percieved to be wearing something that others want to copy. But what others really want to copy is that air of utter confidence.
SOOOO, just wear what you like and then STAND BY YOUR CHOICE COME HELL OR HIGH WATER.
This is not Jeepers trying to make you a model little citizen, this is really how it works. Also, here are some other, more practicle tips:
1) Dark jeans
2) Layers (because it seems like you have lots of clothes and know what you're doing.)
3) Cute, unusual earrings.
4) Grow your hair long
5) Always be very clean (nails, face, clothes)
6) Never ask your friends if they think you look OK.
7) Read fashion magazines regularly
8) Get a piercing
Love,
J
Dear Jeepers,
Thanks for getting back to me! I've been checking your blog daily for your response. Your answer is great. Still, your answer falls into that "easier said than done" category. I'm kind of a social wimp, but I'll do my best.

P.S. I don't think my mom will let me get a piercing.
Dear Freshman,
One never seeks permission to get a piercing. You must do it yourself, in a basement with friends, following your own strong inclination to do so. On the other hand, you may NOT get a tatoo.
Yours,
J
haha i liked jeepers response... personally im a junior guy in highschool, started a few days ago... ive never posted here and therefore have no idea what it is, much less when you posted this... but if you still need help, go with jeeper's suggestion of jeans, tight ones, as they are basically the only pants ever worn, aside from skirts... for tops, just go with the color that's yours, if you can pull off white then go for it, it stands out to guys... and yes jeeper's idea of the piercing is good, but don't do it a few days before school and have whatever you pierced be all crusty and swolen, not a good look for the first day! hope you have a good time in h.s.... p.s. belly button piercings and tongue piercing's are most definitely the hottest!!
