Can I wear a "maternity" dress if I'm only "pregnant"?

This seems like good advice but I have another question, to which no one seems to have an answer: how do I dress like a university student? In a few days I will complete the transition from high school to university, my first classes start on the fifth. How do I "grow up" my look without looking like a snot? Or is that even possible? I don't know what's not grown up about my look, but I just don't feel like I'm dressing 19 or like I'm in university. Flip flops I believe have got to go, but I always feel overdone in heels. Any suggestions?
Do you make all the illustrations yourself? Cause I love them. Funny, cute and different. :D
